"Marry
in haste, repent at leisure"
|
 |
|
A nice hole to start your round. Long drives will have a clear advantage
as a rise, across the fairway, prevents an appreciation of the distance
to the green. Better place your ball on the left to approach the
green in all its length. Otherwise the approach to this small and
elevated green is not easy.

"A

|
 |
|
One
of the easiest holes of the course but mind the wind on this one.
The green is small and well defended by two tricky bunkers. Better
play it from the left.
The
Pro's advice :
Parring this hole, except by miracle or extraordinary talent,
will be achieved only by pitching the centre of the green
or its left edge. Any other drive from the elevated tee will
land in the green bunkers or the small trees in the uncomfortable
rough on the right-hand side.. |

An
uphill hole.
The drive is not a risky one but mind the out-of-bonds on the
right. The second shot is rather long and difficult. One should
not hesitate to take a longer club, especially playing into the
wind. The green is undulating, difficult to read.

A
par 4, almost a par 5.
Fortunately, the wind is often favourable. The drive is not as
risky as it appears, but be careful to avoid the out-of-bonds
on both sides. The second shot is often very long and should be
played slightly to the right. Achieving par will not be so bad.
The
Pro's advice :
A long par 4. If you want your second shot close to the green
with a long iron, play it towards the right of the rise which
hides the base of the flag. |

A
good drive which can be rewarding, but mind the out-of-bonds on
the left-hand side. The second shot, on the other hand, should
be long enough to carry the ball to an elevated green, well defended
by a quite deep lipped bunker which you should try to avoid.
The
Pro's advice :
It is rare to find a stone wall in a bunker. However, it is
the case here! Play the green approach safely to the left
if you do not want to find yourself "at the bottom of
the wall". |

The

will have to be long and precise to leave a short approach shot.
The green is elevated and well defended.

A

You need an excellent shot to reach an elevated green, well defended
by a deep bunker.
The
Pro's advice :
Water, water! You will have to drive beyond two ponds to reach
a very protected green, further away than it appears. Be bold...
or play safely the pre-green to the right, where, at least,
you will be on level ground. |

"He

|

|
Safety
requires, here, an iron for the tee shot which should be precise
enough to avoid a rise on the right-hand side and rather close
water hazards. The second shot will be very difficult if the flag
is positioned at the left of the green which will require a shot
over water.
The
Pro's advice :
A masterpiece! Hopping carps, mocking ducks, scintillating
water on the left...Very little space to keep in line and
strike only four shots!. |

With
an elevated tee and an up-hill green, this long par 3 is quite
impressive.
With the flag on the left, this hole will be very difficult, mainly
in the wind. The green is long and not very deep. Prudence!.
The
Pro's advice :
Play an iron two or three lengths above the one which would
appear normal as you cannot reach the green rolling your ball.
You will have to pitch the green, otherwise you are in bad
shape. |

short left dog leg par 5, with tees at different levels. Do not
hesitate to drive above the trees. The second shot, blind, will
land close to this large green. A huge bunker surrounding the
green will collect imprecise balls.
The
Pro's advice :
This hole is true leftward "croissant". One could
even call it a "boomerang" if the tee shot does
not fly high enough. Before playing the third shot, take a
few steps forward to inspect the depth of the green and the
position of the flag, not so obvious at first sight. |

par 4, easier than it appears.
Long drives will land near a depressed green. Mind, however, the

and without visibility of the surface of the green. Length errors
are therefore frequent, but otherwise an easy part.

|
"A
flatterer can only live as long as someone listens to him"
|
 |
|
The
most difficult hole of the course.
The drive will have to be long and to the left in order to reach
the green in two. The line of trees, on the right, often blocks
the second shot which should be played with a long iron or a wood,
especially when the flag is placed on the third "plateau"
of the green. Once on the green, putting in two is not easy. A
par will be welcome.
The
Pro's advice :
It is essential to place your drive on the left in order to
reach this tormented green in two shots. The green is well
protected, on the right, by a tree whose frightening appearance
cannot be appreciated from the tee. |
